AI consultant and AI developer in Dammam

What I do
All services →Why the Eastern Province changes the brief
The Eastern Province runs on energy, petrochemicals, logistics and heavy industry: the oil and gas sector around Dhahran, the industrial city at Jubail, and the port and logistics operations around Dammam. The companies here, and the contractors and suppliers that serve them, hold exactly the documents AI is most useful for: contracts, specifications, procurement records, maintenance histories, safety reports and internal procedures.
They are also the documents least suited to being pasted into a public chatbot. Much of that material is confidential under contract, some of it is personal data covered by Saudi Arabia's Personal Data Protection Law, and organisations that work with government entities or critical infrastructure often have to meet the National Cybersecurity Authority's controls as well. That changes the first question from which model is best to where the model is allowed to run.
So I start with deployment rather than the model: what has to stay on hardware you control, what can safely use a hosted model, and how the two connect to the systems you already run. Running a model locally does not by itself make a deployment compliant with PDPL or NCA requirements. It makes certain architectures possible. Whether they are sufficient is a question for you and your counsel, and I say so in writing.

Questions
Asked before an engagement
Are you an AI consultant or an AI developer?
Both, on the same engagement. I advise on whether AI is the right tool, which model to use and where it should run, and then I build it: the agent, the integration or the product. I take the work under my own name rather than through an agency.
Can we meet in person in Dammam or Al Khobar?
Yes. I'm based in Dammam, so meeting in Dammam, Al Khobar or Dhahran is straightforward. Most of the work itself runs remotely, with WhatsApp and email in between.
Can AI run without our data leaving Saudi Arabia?
For many workloads, yes. Open-weight models can run on hardware you control, inside your own network, and a hybrid design keeps the sensitive steps local while everything else uses a hosted model. Which workloads fit depends on the task, the documents and the context length, so I test on your own material before recommending anything.
Does running AI locally make us compliant with PDPL or NCA controls?
Not by itself. Keeping data on hardware you control is one input into a legal and security assessment, not the conclusion of one. I will tell you what an architecture makes possible, and the compliance judgement stays with you and your counsel.
Do you work with companies in Jubail and elsewhere in Saudi Arabia?
Yes. I take on work across the Eastern Province, including Jubail, and remotely across Saudi Arabia. My clients are in Saudi Arabia, the UAE and Ireland.
Do you work in Arabic?
Yes. I work in English and Arabic, and Arabic-first AI products, including source-grounded legal AI that cites its sources, are one of the four services I offer.
